Meet Sunshine Table!

My name is Nicole Dahl, I am a chef local to the Oakdale and surrounding areas. At Mountain Soul Yoga I strive to use local farm ingredients to create mindful dishes that are uniquely one of a kind and fuel your soul while bringing you balance and harmony during your stay.

At your yoga retreat you can expect plant based meals to keep in alignment with the yoga philosophy. Creating food with balance and textures that are appealing and utilizing the rainbow. Adding final flavorful touches that could include oils, vinegars and acid which bring brightness to each dish. I also love to incorporate fermented foods which is an essential part of one’s diet to keep the microbiomes in your gut healthy. Yoga and your gut health simply go hand in hand.

Some of the meals you could expect include organic based colorful buddha bowls, hearty soups and stews packed with immunity boosters, fruit and veggie smoothies, scratch made sauces and so much more. Meals will be light hearted so that your energy can be highly focused towards your yoga practice and not digesting. Food from the heart is my passion and I look forward to cooking for you and bringing sunshine to the table.

CAN BEGINNERS JOIN?

Yes, beginners can join. We have all yoga levels from beginners to advanced, and our teachers will modify the classes so you can practice at your own pace.

WHAT TYPE OF FOOD IS SERVED AT EVENT AND RETREATS?

We have a private chef that specializes vegetarian dishes for breakfast lunch and diner. Always fresh and organic selection.

WHAT IS THE DAILY ITINERARY AT THE RETREATS?

Flexible, we want to leave the tight schedules for home. You can expect 2 yoga classes, 1-2 workshops, outdoor adventure, and plenty of free time.

Are all meals included?

Yes! We provide vegetarian meals for breakfast. lunch, and dinner. Oh, and snacks too! If you have special dietary restrictions or food allergies, please send us a message at least a week before the retreat.
